Take Heart

Take Heart

Faith Family,

Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave Me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with Me.  I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world,” (John 16:32-33).

Although the disciples of John 16 were facing very different circumstances, the result was the same, social distancing, at least physically.  Yesterday’s email was an attempt to secure your knot to our Anchor.  Today, I would encourage you to reacquaint yourself with Jesus’ High Priestly prayer that follows John 16:32-33.

Of all the requests known to our Lord, Jesus prayed that we would be one.  Isn’t that interesting?  He knew that we were created to encourage one another, to point each other to Christ.  Keep in mind that your brothers and sisters in Christ are facing the same challenges that you are facing.
Physical distancing challenges us to be both intentional and creative in our “oneness”.  Here’s where social media can serve us as a tool to answer Jesus’ prayer.  Encourage one another with truth.  Call someone today just to let them know that you are thinking about them.  Thank them for their friendship.  Ask them how they are doing.

Pray for each other.  Share your requests with us.  Our web page has a place for you to share your requests.  You will be prayed for.  Be on the look out for your Prayer & Praise email that will come later today.

In His love,
Pastor Karl
