Thanking God For You
Dear Faith Family,
I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, (1 Corinthians 1:4).
Faith Church, can I just say that I am thankful for you?! What a melting pot of the grace of our God. You guys are such an array of personalities, talents and gifts. For the body does not consist of one member but of many, (1 Corinthians 12:14).
Some of you have the gift of hospitality, others the gift of teaching, still others the gift of administration. The list goes on. It really is entertaining to watch and see who God places in His body. But as it is, God arranged the members of the body, each one of them, as He chose, (1 Corinthians 12:18).
What that means is that every member of the body is important. You included! Every member of the body of Christ is hand-picked and hand-placed by the living God. Your value comes from the One who picked you and placed you in His body.
So, here is what I want to challenge you to do today. Thank your God for your Faith Family. Thank Him for the individual grace recipients therein. Thank Him for the people who sit near you at Faith. Thank Him for the people who sit far from you at Faith. Thank Him for the members of the praise team. Thank Him for the people in the kitchen who make Sunday morning breakfast happen. Thank Him for the people who minister to our children. Thank Him for the people who minister to our youth. Thank Him for our teachers. Thank Him for our deacons. Thank Him for our elders. Thank Him for the people who speak words of encouragement to you and others. Thank Him for our staff. Thank Him for our missionaries. Thank Him for the people who feed the hungry. Thank Him for our children. Thank Him for our youth. Thank Him for our seasoned citizens. Thank Him…well, you get the picture.
